Hi there! You may not know it, but this is sort of a “Welcome Back!” post. The past week and a half, I’ve been migrating hosts and doing a tremendous amount of work on the backend of the site, getting it back up and running. If you’ve visited over the last week and a half, you saw a static snapshot of the site as it was before I began the migration. This is now a live version of the site. So hi! Nice to see you again!
The migration was sort of a “of the moment” decision, and when I made it, I didn’t even get the chance to post to the site that I was doing it. Not that I thought I needed to, I didn’t anticipate it taking as much time as it did. But that’s because it’s been a VERY long time since I decided to manage and host my own blog vs. using a service (Medium, and before that Tumblr, and before THAT, Blogger).
That said, it’s actually quite rewarding to do all this wrench-turning. I have the skills and use them for the day job, so doing it for myself feels quite good. I’ve missed it.
Anyway, I’m back up and running and writing. So yay for that, right?!?
So sorry to see you leave social media(although I agree with you on some of the toxicity), but I’m glad I can keep up with your stuff on this site. I look forward to reading your work. 🙂
